WHAT TIME SHOULD I BE THERE FOR MY JUMP

Whatever time that you chose when booking your reservation is your scheduled check-in time. We cannot and do not schedule actual jump times since it is impossible to guarantee when you will actually be able to jump, possibly due to weather delays.

WHEN TO ARRIVE
TIMELINE OF EXPERIENCE

HOW LONG DOES EACH STEP OF THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE TAKE FROM START TO FINISH

Most of our guests should typically expect to plan on spending about anywhere from one to two hours on average from their scheduled check-in time to the time they leave, to be with us here at Skydive Grand Haven, assuming there are no delays of course. However, we always ask our guests to plan on clearing out at least four to six hours of their day to spend with us, just in case there are any unforeseen delays that do occur that may cause them to have to wait longer before being able to jump.

Below you will find a rough timeline of events that you might expect assuming perfect operation with no delays:

Checking in: you will arrive at your reserved jump time and check in at our manifest desk, where you will pay for the balance of your jump and sign a waiver (and you may also want to use the restroom now).

Training: you will train with your tandem instructor for about 30 minutes, depending on the size of your group, and how many questions you/they may have.

Gearing Up: you will be fitted with a tandem harness and goggles (make sure you use the restroom before this).

Boarding Aircraft: you will be interviewed by your tandem instructor for your video and then load up in the plane.

Plane Ride: up and down the Lake Michigan coastline for about 20 minutes.

Freefall: about 30-60 seconds and this is based on your weight and how long it takes to get our body position stable to Earth (how well you arch or in other words, how well you paid attention in training).

Parachute Ride: this will be about 5-10 minutes depending on how much you want to spin (spinning burns off altitude quick).

Gear Down/Video Viewing: about 30 min to an hour depending on how/if you purchase your video and/or stills.  You will view the freefall portion of your video. Then, if you decide to purchase it to be uploaded to dropbox, you can leave asap right after you pay for your video/stills, if you haven't done so already or if you purchase it to be saved on a USB flash drive, it will be about 15 to 30 more minutes.
